On Friday 6th May myself and Coupeking/Coupequeen set off at 0930am to Travel to Inverness to meet up with Jeff Spangle,Larz/Karen,Claymore_72/Kyle and IMNL.

We stopped of at Elgin on the way there to meet up with Stephenperry.

Once we all met at Inverness we headed up North East stopping of at an place called Evanton for lunch.

We then set off on our journey taking in some fantastic roads and breathtaking views as prommised.

Once we got Right up North and to the coast of the Atlantic ocean this is when the really breathtaking scenery came out to meet us.

We saw water and beaches that i for one never expected to find in Scotland. It was like something off Home And Away.

We eventually arrived at The Benloyal Hotel in Tongue at around 1845.We quickly checked in and feshened up and then sat down to a lovely meal in there resturant. We then hit the bar

There were endless drinks flowing all night and we played pool and games.

The bar shut at 2300,but the guy let us buy as much drink as we wanted then we went thru to the the lounge and caught up on the pics from the day etc:Some of us then went to bed while others sat up all night

In the morning we got up for Breakfast and checked out.We then set off on our Journey once more heading for Gairloch.

Wow!! was the words comming from most on our jouney up the coast then down the west coast. If it were not for the showers i recon we would of stopped every 100 yards for pics, but then again we would of never got to Gairlcoh at that rate.

First stop was to stretch our legs at Durness and sample some of the award winning beach.

We then set off again to head for Ullapool for lunch as planned.Again taking in the views on our way down the Scottish Highlands.

We eventually arrived at Ullapool around 1400pm,this place was very busy and we found it very hard to find parking for 7 BMW`S.We eventually managed tho after loosing most for around 30 mins.

We sat down in a Cafe and had some long awaited food.

Now its time for the next stage and our journey to Gairloch

We stopped off at various sites on route for picture oppertunity`s and video`s I found a nice beach to welcome the BMWCC Scotland

We arrived at Gairloch Highland Hotel around 1800pm.

Again we settled in and then hit the bar.

We had a table booked at The Old Inn just mins down the road at 2000pm.Here we had a lovely meal.Malc (Top Bloke) Settled the Bill and then we went back upto Hotel for more

The bar was not very busy and we had full use of the pool table. The barman had to be the best

He was so helpfull and was always running after us (more drinks over here MR)

The bar was supposed to off closed at 1145pm,But quess what!!

It never

Most of us went off to bed around 0100am while some (not naming any names) stayed up till 0345am

We Decided that on the Sunday we would set off around 11am and head for Dornie and the Castle, where we stopped of for some lite lunch and a photo oppertunity.

Stephenperry decided to leave us here and head home to Elgin(well it made sence)

We then headed for Crainlarich where we would all the go our own way home.Again we stopped of for some pics

and then met up at Fort William where we stopped to say thanks and a group photo, before heading off.

Myself and Coupeking/Coupequeen planned our journey back to Aberdeen and decided to go to Crainlarich and down to Perth.

We soon caught up with Malc and Larz who were stuck behind a massive Truck going up Glencoe. We then stopped off at The Luib Hotel for some supper before the long drive Home.

I eventually got in at 2300PM

Around 750 miles

Around £85 Fuel

I am delighted at how the weekend went and i am already thinking about Tour`d Ecosse 2006

I hope all that travelled with us also enjoyed there trip and would consider it again in 2006

Big thanks to Guy who came from North East England for the trip

and everyone else involved

Especially Malc as the weekend would not of been the same without you (no not cause you paid the bill),but the way you helped orginize everything and looked out for us all

just had this email from Benloyal

Hi Pete

I am very pleased to hear that you all enjoyed yourselves - its a pity that the weather was not a little more favourable.

Do not worry about the alarm - I am sure it was an honest mistake and he pressed what he thought was the light switch.   There is a little sign above the switch which has been taped over mainly because the alarm is not working in the bar or kitchen.   As a button it is mainly used to attract attention when nobody was in reception.   As half the system does not work we decided to tape over the instruction and now as I said it just looks like a light switch.   So again please do not worry.

I do hope that you stay with us again next year as it was a real pleasure to meet you all however briefly.

Kind regards
Elaine

So steve your off the hook

Superb pics there guys, really wish I could have gone now. Sadly work committments and not having an MoT'd BMW put paid to all that. Hopefully by next year she will be on the road (hopefully by next week actually!) so definitely put my name down for that one. Pictures really are stunning, hope you don't mind me pinching a couple for my background!

It looks and sounds as if you lot had an excellent time, unfortunately since I only picked up the car last Tuesday the tour came just a bit too quick for me, am looking forward to coming to the next meet and saying hello
