The Baron looks mighty fine Mark. You gobba fit a sport steering wheel to replace the giant bus wheel?

E30 sport wheel will not fit your car Mark, boss is different. splines on column are different.

I have a Mountney boss which is designed for E23 up to 1982. its a new old stock item. Do you want it for a £5 when we meet up next Sunday?

you will need to buy a nice Mountney or other aftermarket wheel off fleabay. I got a really nice momo for just £5 for VJ.

He will know the answer to that when he removes the chrome arches

My X regd 728i was completely wrecked by rust breeding behind the chrome arches  I loved that car, plenty of pep too. 728i's are much maligned by guys who have never driven one

no problem Mark, we will meet up when mutually convenient.

whats going on at brands?

I used to drive to Brands in my 728i to watch the BMWCC racing. happy days, around 1992-95. where have the years gone?

Tickets are available on the gate, but it is best to buy your ticket in advance.
We all spend too much on old cars, it's an affliction we're all suffering from! (Well according to my wife that is!!)

Mark

My Stepdad has an X Reg 735i SE which had all the knobs and whistles (not sure if he is breaking it or selling it off to a scrappie) it may have some bits you may be interested in... like the sports steering wheel??

If you're interested let me know and I'll ask him...

Cheers

Grahame, some more info please. Is it in a poor condition, or is he scrapping because he can't sell? I'd like to see more of these early 7's saved.

I am hoping that there will be an equally good turn out this year as was last years, so come along, more e23's the better!
