here is Del's link.

Del, you must host pics on host site such as geocities, then post a link to the pic here.

this board does nor host pics directly.

are you the famous Del from the 7 register board?

how's that board doing?

the E23 nutters migrated to this board. we get a higher standard of anti-e23 abuse on this board.

Yes, it is the famous Del from the 7 register, same as I was a member of the old E32 U.K. register.

Del, nice pics. Show them also at the E32 Underground board

Hi and thanks,
Guilty as charged I am the same Del from the e32 register, now the 7 series register. I am based in Ayrshire and sadly never attended the main register meetings, however as I travel extensively for my work as a designer, I met with many wonderful folks all across the UK in the last two years.
I hope to be able to contribute here too and attend some of the local meetings in Scotland, however as the 750 is a fair weather trailer queen, her presence is kept underwraps a lot due to the weather up here.

I am pleased with the wheels and crystal indicators on the car but am still intending to put 18" M-Parallel's on at some point, though know it will destroy the ride quality even more

As a point of note I also placed the pictures in an album at the BMWmovies website that was recommneded here but it still did not embed or show up, Hey such is life.

If i can ever be of any assistance to any 7 owners for advice or to help in locating bits and bob's (my hobby on the old e32register just ask me.

its grand to have you on the board Del

I miss your Find-a-Part service.

Mark Red Baron is after a ZF 3HP22 box for an X regd 735i 1982. he also needs OBC brain for same, thats OBC 1 ECU.

I bet these bits will beat you! we can't source them anywhere

He can use the same autobox from a pre-Dec '82 635CSi (which had the same 3-spd auto up to that date), and he might be able to use the ECU from the same car (which also had the OBC 1, like mine).

Is this the ECU?

Have run some European searches, and on the gearbox front have you tried a part number check on the 6 series units? is the original too far gone to be refurb'd and have you tried one of the e23 breaker cars? I have found a couple of those.
Am off to the South African network for a nosey so may edit the post later,,,,

Nope can get a new (refurb'd one) at $1925 but i suspect buying another entire car is a better bet, I found some clear front indicators fro the e23 if anyone is interested?

Derek, do you fancy a trip to Perthshire on the 23rd April?  We're staying in Kenmore that evening, travelling to Glasgow for a birthday party on the 24th.  Could turn it into a 7 mini-meet?

I'd ask on the 7 register but, as you know, it's having some technical issues at the moment...
