I have an 325 E36 BMW, which overcounts revs - otherwise the dash works fine.

I have been advised this may be due to the dash thinking i've got 4 cyl instead of 6. Does anyone know a good contact for this type of repair - obviously a main dealer is going to prove expensive.

cheers

Try www.fabdirect.com for a complete unit - probably the cheapest option.

it idles high - over 1000 RPM. By the time i'm doing 70mph its 7000ish (in 5th)

if i do the dashboard check test it all works fine - moves up to the red lines then back again. Hence why i think its is working, and just has the wrong settings.

cheers guys
