Hi there,
My e30 320 has been laid up since november. Its
time to reinstate! what do you guys recommnded for
getting started up again -SAFELY. I don't wanna turn
the engine without a few basic do 's and don'ts. Or
maybe you can just turn the engine on E30's and
they're OK? suggestions appreciated...

I remember hearing that a teaspoon full of engine oil into each spark plug hole helps lubricate the cylinders.

Possibly drain the engine oil also and pour new stuff in to cover at least part of the engine.

I would also recommend that you remove the plug leads, turn the engine over for 20-30 seconds (to pump the oil around) before putting the leads back on and running the engine.

I'd also remove the spark plugs themselves.

Also check the clutch and brakes haven't seized.
