CD Changer Wiring

   We have a 523I (E39) 1996 (N). I understand from various places on the web that the wiring should be in the boot on the left hand side behind the removable panel.
I cant seem to locate any cabling that is available. There is one plug which is attached and seems to go towards the rear lights. Another goes to a small white box which appears to contain liquid (possibly a tilt sensor for the alarm??)
Does anyone know where exactly the wiring is?

	After visiting a BMW dealer, we discovered that our particular model isnt pre-wired for a CD changer (in the boot). We have to run a cable from the head unit - which means pulling the dash board apart. Is this difficult?

	I don't know if the E39 is similar to the E34, when I installed mine I found a handy hole in the glove box which leads to behind the dash just by the computer.I then ran the cable through the back of the glove box,down behind the speaker cover and settled for installing the unit under the passenger seat.Hope this gives you some ideas.
