   I wish to fit a socket to use a trailer board, does any one help with the connections I need to make into the existing rear light and indicators?

	Can't help you with this one, but I'd be surprised if there wasn't a loom under the rear to use. I have the BMW towing pack, which also activates the TSC (trailer stability control) - an excellent safety feature. Wiring will be to a UK standard though.

	not always the case if car was built in collected from BMw factory they sometimes have german electrics on them. easiest way to see which wires need to connect to where is to get multimeter and test each function at a time and find is wire color and make notes first i.e put left indicator on and test each wire until u fine it in loom going to light unit and then brake light and so on. thats how i converted german plug to english. if you buy wiring kit from a motor factors it has wiring code for fitting on packet or inside on instructions. other alterative is go get BMW kit that might just plug straight in.
