"Hundreds of drivers trapped by speed cameras could exploit a legal loophole - because the wrong signature is on Police notices.

Telecom manager Mike Cutting ignored a Gatso ticket after his car was clocked on the A11 at Snetterton, Norfolk. He told a court the prosecution notice looked bogus because it was issued by a ticket office manager. He argued it should have carried the name of Norfolk Chief Constable. Norwich JP's agreed the form would be invalid without it. Mr Cutting, of Breaken Ash, who checked case law on a motorists web forum said 'I think all letters sent out in this form should be retracted. People could get let off.'
Police are trying to close the loophole."

So if anyone has been snapped recently, take a look at the signature and small print, you might just get away with it.
