Heya there people,

Just thought I would drop by, this is my first weekend of being a BMW owner, and thought I would see what I can do out there in terms of poking about on the Net.

I'm the rather proud owner of an 11 year old 520i SE with a good few miles on the clock, however, she feels fantastic, looks nice, and well, I'm chuffed to bits.

So - What goes on round here in the north west then? Seems I've just missed a meeting at the March Hare (only a few minutes drive away from me), but does anything else more regularly go on?

Got my car booked in to Baymow for an oil service in 3 weeks... (as its got two bars left to go on the service indicator) - and if anyone has any technical tips on how to sort out back windows not working - let me know.

Errm - Other than that - anyone upgraded their ICE?

Speak soon

Jules

Welcome Jules!

It looks good; let's see:

leather upholstery with wood trim, sports steering wheel, four electric windows, nice alloys, black colour with privacy glasses and...

...THE WIPERS are as they should be for a RHD car!!!

Congratulations and lots of happy miles!

Errm - The wipers are set for LHD on some cars??

Really?

As to the electric windows - well - the rear two arent working right for some reason, but I am getting a garage to look at that on Thursday.

Then in for the oil service in about 2 weeks or so at Baymow.

Well - Indeed... The spec is alright-  I don't have front foglights though?  Was that not standard on SE's? Or is it possible I haven't got an SE?

In any case - I wonder - has anyone retro fitted these?

(just for the look, rather than the image of driving around in them when its NOT foggy!)

Good choice of garage with Baymow. I've used them for the last two years. Great fellas and tip top services and advice.

Heya there Leesy,

So it seems - I don't know any other, I just drive past them on the way to work every morning, so seemed like a natural choice.

Only downside is the three week waiting list to get the car in there LOL.

But hey, if thats not a sign of good work, then I don't know what is

Yes, indeed

On E38, E39, in the NEW 5-series  and in the NEW 6-series , believe it or not.

I haven't checked the NEW 7-series though... Have the impression they are wrongly set there as well

Wipers are correctly set in the 1-series, in all the 3-series, in X5, X3, Z3, Z4...so far
