I thought BMW kept everything for their cars !!!

Went to get a steering wheel column shroud (lower) for my E30 M3 convertible in grey and was told I can only have black as grey has been discontinued. Now, I've got a grey interior so dont really want a black one, but may have to fork out the £34 plus VAT for it until I can find a perfect secondhand one. What a nightmare

Does anyone know where I can get hold of one of these as I dont really want to pay for something Im going to replace as soon as

sorry if this appears a little rude, but there is always mobile tradition. Maybe the club can help you out here too?

Only one part number on ETK - no mention of colour - same part from 316 through 325 to M3.

If you just want one to tide you over try this one on ebay.

If you are looking for one in grey try the specialist breakers such as FAB or Quarry Motors or BMC or ..............

I have read on the german forum that the dealer should order parts even if they are NLA. There is supposed to be a "safety" stock (mobile tradition??) or at least it will show BMW the demand of that particular part. If it pop's up enough times it can be considered to be manufactured again.
Don't know if that really works like that.

Part 8

Now I understand. I have a black one that is surplus to my requirements. I Will go and check it out and let you know condition, if it is of any interest to you. I think it is quite good. Problem might be that it is currently located in Lancashire!!

When I first got my SE I tried to order the driver door trim panel as it had a tear in it. The dealer came back and said it was NLA. I checked realoem and sure enough it had "ENDED" next to the part number.

I was looking at it again a couple of weeks ago, and there was a price next to the part number. A quick call to the dealer confirmed that the part was re-instated and Germany had 2 in stock. Well... now 1!
