    Posted: 28-May-2005 at 05:41

Last last night my two front centre caps were stolen from my BMW. Also for some reason my rear tyre was stabbed with a knife. My other half heard voice and then when she heard the sound of a tre deflating she jumped out of bed but she heard the vandals run off. At midnight there was little I could do about it. It was not until the morning I found the two centre caps stolen and the rear tyre stabbed. This happened in the warden bay area in sheppey.

You poor ***. It makes me furious things like this. Just mindless acts by kids with no respect, moral values or idea of what value things are to tax paying, law abiding citizens like us! I'm sounding like my dad now but it's true. What kind of kick does someone get by slashing a tyre. They'd soon **** and cry if they had to fork out 100 for a tyre!

I hope they meet their match down a dark alley somewhere.

If its the cross spokes you have I've a feeling theres a couple on eBay presently, both 14" and 15" ones.

Last year, my mates van had all its tyres slashed - fortunatly the spare was untouched. It meant a day off work for both of us - which meant not only the cost of 4 new tyres at 60 each, but our wages lost for the day (being self employed, you dont work, you dont earn).
3 were flat straight away, the other went down in scarborough after we had travelled from York, we could have easily had a blow out on the motorway.
There are some sick individuals around.

my old e30 had no centre caps on either of the 9 alloys I had, they were expensive when I checked out prices at ECP.
No idea how much now, but was quoted about 30 each!! hope you can get some cheap.
Wonder if there is a way of locking them on?

I think many people use some kind of silicone sealant to 'glue' them on.

E34 centre caps are different AFAIK. They are also plastic rather than alloy I think

Yeah, kbannon is right, The e34 centre caps are all plastic and just push on and the e30 ones are alloy and the centre nut actually turns to lock the cap on. What I couldnt believe though is that even the e30 14" and 15" centres differ. No wonder they are expensive. If BBS had thought about it and made them all the same surely they would have been cheaper.

Hope you find some soon orkboss.

Nightmare!. I bought a 325i sport a few weeks ago which had suffered the same fate. Parked in a multistory and were nabbed. They were glued on with silicone so even that doesn't stop the thieving scumbags! I was lucky cause I have 4 from wheels I bought for my 2002tii.

They do appear on e-bay quite frequently, as do the removal tools for them. Mmmm, do you think the scum are one step ahead, buying the tool to remove them, then flogging the centers on e-bay??

No apparently the ******s that took them were youngsters with a golf and apparently the BBS alloys on golfs are the same. I have got one back off some one who knows them but I haven't found out who they are yet. When I do I will give a post when i get released for GBH ABH whatever it is.
