OK!  I'm IN!!!!

See y'all at 9:30 ish (don't do mornings!)  Am far too lazy to bring pork pies, so will seek out food on site.  If the misses isn't too hung-over, she'll be coming.  Although this is unlikely!!!!biggrin1

See you Sunday! beerchug

Picnic for me.

Remember please, anyone bring a picnic should not forget that pork pies are strictly forbidden from these events on the grounds of health & safety (my health and your safety).

A scenic route has been planned by our esteemed committee member Terry & I hope one of us will get to post it before Sunday.

Assuming we leave around 10:00am we should be at Alnwick by 12:00 - 12:30.

I've been told the Gardens are very popular so if it's fine weather there's a good chance we'll be in the overflow car park. This makes it a little difficult to co-ordinate a group meet with those from north of the border.  If necessary, we can exchange a few mobile numbers.

No specific activities have been planned. Admire the gardens, admire the cars, have lunch & maybe a game of Quiddich. Be nice to meet some of the Scottish contingent.

More details to follow about the route & exact destination.

Hi Andy,

Barbara's definately going in her car.

If I'm off work I'll be there in one of mine - probably the M3 as the Baur's poorly at the minute and might not get sorted in time. Shame as it would be nice getting the wind in by hair (or lack of it!).

Mick

Have we got confirmed numbers yet?  The other half will probably be too hung over to make it, but if there are good numbers going I might come for the sun!

It looks like we have some friends from north of the border who would like to join us (see pete323 above), so it would good if could have some of idea of how many from the NE are going.  It would be a shame for them to come down all this way just to see some flowers!

A good point as nobody has metioned it.

I would say 9:30am for a 9:45 kick-off (which probably means 10:00) unless anyone has a better suggestion.

By the way it's the Travel Lodge next to the Holiday Inn - couldn't remember it's name before.

Need to get a new battery sorted for the Six else I'll be in the Touring.

I'm going to try to persuade the wife and kids to come too, but I don't think she'll be too interested.

The opportunity of the best part of the day without me is probably way too appealing to her!
