final drive query

   Questin. my mate has an e36 325se with a shot gearbox. he wants to know if an e36 m3 six speed box will fit his engine and mate up with a e36 328i lsd.if so what would final drive be like ie would it be like pulling away in 3rd gear.??any other info would help,would there be too many other probs
