530d air filter

   According to the service booklet changing this only happens at an Inspection 2 which seems a "long" wait to me. 
Anyone changed one earlier on their 530d? Is it an esy DIY job? Also did you buy your new filter from BMW or ECP/GSF, etc? Any idea of the price difference?
