2002tii Year of Manufacture?

   I have bought a 2002tii which was registered on 18/03/74. 
I think the car is earlier than this as it has round tail lights and the "Chrome" front grille. 
The Chassis No. is 2752198, could anyone confirm the year of manufacture from this as it I'm hoping it's pre 1973 for tax exemption and black plates!.
