Finally I've got the steering shake eliminated from VJ. I took it to a local tyre depot and they rebalanced the wheels for £14. took VJ onto the A12 for a run & eureka!! no steering shimmy at 55 to 65 mph. this is about the third time of having the rims balanced. I guess its all down to who does the work???

VJ sounds like a tank with all the noise coming from the main joint at the down pipes to system joint.

I took VJ to an exhaust depot & was told "sorry, we don't fix the front end of exhausts" WTF?!

I then took VJ to BMW in Chelmsford without an appointment. they took VJ in for a check up & gave me a coffee & mags to read.

they said VJ needs new O ring & something else which is not in stock, so they told me to come back Friday & they will fix it while I wait.

I am impressed as VJ is too old to use a BMW dealer workshop???

no sneering or nasty comments about E23's from Lind BMW!!

sand gets EVERYWHERE when you're entertaining the "girls on the beach"
