Can someone help me,

I'm having an argument with a mate and its getting annoying!

Do you know if you can get an e30 cab with an m42 (1.8 16v) engine in it?

was it a special edition that came looking like a motorsport cab?

Can someone please solve this for us!

Thanks!

As far as I know, you couldn't.

318 (115bhp), 320 (129bhp) & 325 (170bhp). And the M3 of course. Maybe they thought it might be a bit too rorty with the top down!

Best place to ask is the E30 Zone. Which way were you arguing?

I know of at least one E30 Baur Cab with the 328iS M42 engine. Its a white one owned by a club member, there is a article about the car in the club mag, No 57 June/July 2004. The car was at the 21st at Rockingham.

From what I can see, you could order a 318is baur as Ron as said, but there was no 318is convertible available.

Would this argument stem from the 318is motorsport that was on e-bay (still is?), if so, it was not a genuine one (ie and engine conversion) though it is a very nice car, and done to very high standards.

In all honesty though, knowing BMW back in the late 80's, if you were willing to pay the money, maybe they would have been willing to put an M42 in a convertible...

Your right, it was about the motorsport cab on Ebay.
