Who remembers a Burgundy 732i on ebay a while back. beige velour trim. Its still at Laserchrom and will be crushed next week if someone doesn't grab it. all complete and from my memory of the ebay pics I think its pretty tidy. unfortunately it won't start as its been standing for a few months  sounds like a good parts donor, or even a fixer upper.

My neighbours will lynch me if i keep acquiring cars, so over to you guys.

Save the whales!

Stop tempting me Mark - I am arranging for the world wildlife fund to declare E23's to be an endangered species. scrapping good cars will become a criminal offence

I love Burgundy Red on an 80s BM.

I've just found the ebay advert I printed off. its FKJ 6Y I think. very early series II car.

AG will be along soon to snap it up as a donor for his B10. he needs rear wings and various bits.

It's got an MOT too. They will take £50 (maybe less).

I will pass on this one Mark, got enough hassles with E23's as it is!

The Silver Surfer needs new fuel & brake hoses & pipework. We've placed an order with BMW for all the parts needed. all are still available from Germany.

Also needs one front calliper. the factors next door to the mech quoted £50 for a rebuilt one which I reckon is a right deal.

Laserchrom, Unit B17, Laser Quay
Medway City Estate, Rochester, Kent, ME2 4HU

its almost certainly automatic.

non-starting on these engines is usally caused by worn out rotor & dizzy cap. owners are lazy and don't bother changing them. if not that it could be ign relay or fuel pump relay. or old decayed petrol. do you fancy it Wendy?

Wendy, the 730 luxorbeige is an E32, the later shape 7 series. it has blue leather trim. elec seats & sunroof etc. excellent audio system. I will be putting a new MOT on it this month, then its ready to go to a caring new home. it feels lonely as it used to sit alongside the 732i, so its cruel to separate them

Very cruel indeed

You'll be able to meet it in person on your next visit.

I know of only one other luxor 7 in the club. for some reason the colour was not popular.

Thats odd, I liked the colour on my E28 520, but then again most people think I'm odd. Isn't/wasn't Doive's 525E luxorbeige? Anyone heard from him lately? Did he decide what to do?

Has Doive been active in the 5 section lately?

His E regd 525e was indeed Luxor, and looked resplendent in the colour.

I think Luxor came in around E regd, so very few E28's in that colour.

prior to Luxor there was a shade called Bahama Beige which was slightly darker than Luxor I think.
