Excuse my ignorance... but what's the 'black cube'?

Savage wheel by the way - love the stitching

ahhh.... I see said the blind man.

Wood looks better in yours than in alot of cars, but I'd prefer the black cube myself too. Much hassle doing it? And how much?

Well to be honest, I normally hate wood inside cars, but I grew to like it in mine - think it went well with the beige trim.

But I prefer the blackcube myself, and the wood won't really tie in with the rest of the modification that are planned, so it had to go.

Not as much hassle as I'd been led to believe - I needed to spray the armrests though which took a bit of time, and removing the leather from the top of each armrest is the biggest pain in the ****.

I got the whole trim for about €200 off ebay - the drivers armrest is scratched though, so I'll probably buy a new one from BMW (€200 alone for that!!) It normally works out at about €1k for the whole kit.

€200 isn't too bad, plus however many hours to install?

Fair play to E-Bay

I think 'black cube' quite suits the beige. On the all-black dash it makes the whole dash look a bit too monochrome - I prefer the silver trim there. But with the beige it adds a nice break between the two, without making the interior too flashy or ostentatious.
