around about the same maybe a penny less
you would think that this stuff is being pumped in from the north sea and refined on these shores the prices would be cheap as
and you wonder why the rest of the EU and further are taking the p**s because we have the highest petrol prices

I paid €1.139 last night; supposed to go up to €1.209 today!
Add on tax and insurance, as well as servicing and parking and, of course, tyres, it's costing me roughly €0.52 per mile! (based on 15k a year). That doesn't include replacing parts!

It's the same around here but if I travelled to Norwich then is 91.5p/litre. Man it hurts my wallet at the moment doing 3-400 miles per week but won't be for too much longer as I have to find another job - the nice?! people at work have decided to close the factory down on the 23rd of december

I remember someone telling me a while ago that North Sea oil isn't
suitable for petrol refining, so that's why we can't be
self-sufficient. Don't know how true this is. Anybody else heard this?

Before I start i musrt warn you that i''m very drunk and that typing is a bit hard. The thing with petrol prices is that all the big oil companies are taking advantage of the crisis in the states at the momnet and using it as an excuse to push up the price of crude oil and hence petrol. There is absolutely no reason at all why a loss of refining capacity on the gulf coast should cause in increase in the price of oil. Companies like BP are making record profits at the moment at our expense and it really isn't fair. The reason they are gettin g away with it is because too many members of the US government have interests in Big oil, so do nothing about it.
Soory if this is a bit confusing. I know what I want ot say but it's hard wnen your as drunk as I am.

I paid 92.5 p per litre for Esso Unleaded this morning at Atlas filling Station in Springburn. Was the cheapest I have seen around Glasgow. I'm getting 30.3 mpg on average at the moment cos I'm not driving into town anymore since the greedy money grabbing B***** that are Glasgow City Council have introduced extortionate parking charges where I work so I am now slumming it in on the Subway but driving to Shields Road is good for my fuel consumption as it is just off the motorway.

yawn yawn, usual story. i understand the stress but please ensure ALL anger is directed at the gorvernment and not the oil companies. Remember how much of your £50 Mr Blair takes compared to the poor Oil company.

The more expensive it gets the less people will want big cars, just a matter of time before I get a 760iL on ebay for £2000. Roll on £1.50 a litre, if you didnt spend it on petrol youd only spend it on something else anyway. Its like smokers working out how much money theyd save when they stop, how many ex smokers do you know with a big tub on money in the living room with their smoking budget for the last year in it.

Remember this: if there is a fuel blockade next week, it's unleaded which'll go first.
The implications will then be the likes of me still happily running around on uncongested roads, 'cos I can use LRP
