Don't perpetuate the myth... accountants are really fun people who just happen to be in dull jobs.
In Aberdeen, that usually means working for people who you would not want to associate with in real life, and who make Gordon Gecko look like a humanitarian god.
And if your employer has an American parent company... don't get me started.

I'm in Industry Chas (Oil & Gas realted surprise, surprise). It doesn't blight my life at all, I was just stating the stereotypical view of the profession .

Got a fancy job title but its really IT/Data Management with an Oil & Gas major.

I am also an I.T monkey... work for an oil and gas data management company here in Aberdeen but away to change to work for an operator supporting the drilling engineers....and i get my weekends back...
