This is my 1st hit on this site and i hope someone can help coz being without my bim is . My ECU blew and being strapped i bought a used one only then to find that it needed to be reset and outlets to perform this task seem to be nigh on non existent.

Is anybody out there?

Welcome dude

Have you tried your local dealer for some advise. Maybe chippedUK can help with this sort of thing.

I'm sure someone will along to help you out shortly.

Well, it was a toughy.

The dme was fecked beyond repair and being an import its a bugger to replace but i got one and then had to map the ews to match the original.

The car is now running perfectly , yes PERFECTLY.

It idles like a dream.

I reset the service lights and also aligned the abs, there were around 35 faults logged and all were cleared.

The car is now ready to drive sir.

Well, i made nothing from this.

The dme was £150

Petrol for 2 journeys was £10

Map fee (from my programmer) 75 euro (£52)

Fault reseting and diagnosis work I did free.

Total £212

I quoted that it would be £200 so thats what i have charged.

Normally i have loads of ecu`s here in stock but in this case the car is an import running a VERY rare ecu type which is not availible in the UK so i tracked one down in germany and had it fedex`d to me this morning.
