Audio trouble

   Dont know how much you guys know about the audio in the E24,
 
I have got all aftermarket 4 ohm speakers, and a new stereo to fit, but when i fitted it the rears are fine, but the fronts are whisper quiet. Why is that???
There was a post on the Big Coupe Group about aftermarket audio, but what I pulled out was aftermarket anyway. Is there something on the 6 that is abnormal in terms of speaker wiring?
Also can someone tell me the ignition wire, and electric areal wire to cut into, the ones that come off the loom there, around the stereo area.
