tis silly money alright. And the wheels could do with another 2", but I think tis well tasty too, Mick. Was briefly in a 850i - V12 didn't do it for me, and tis tight enough inside, but they are cool.

After checking with the VRT site, you could have the car from Autotrader home for 29k. Thats a big difference.

Plus the car in AT has a full BMWSH which isn't mentioned on Carzone.

I agree. Plenty of nice ones across the pond for a lot smaller money than that one!

And considering the carzone one has just come in from the UK (tax disc holder only) there's a handy 10k profit in the deal for the seller

I know that dealer and he has had that car quite a while. It started out at another dealer first though.

My cousin is going to sell his 97 840CI sport and I think he is only looking for euro 22k.

The price of an 8 series depends on what condition it is in. It might be priced high but those types of cars usually are because someone that wants one will pay for a good example. I would say you will get €35k in Ireland for a good example of a 1998 8 series.

It is the dogs danglies, you feel like a rock star in it.

I was over in London last year with the 840ci and I drove up to the Dorchester. They were refusing people in left right and centre because it was late and only residents were going to be allowed to drink in the bar. So little ol me swoons in and asks if I could have a quiet drink. "Yes sir of course, you are a regular aren’t you. I remember you face." Yeah right, I have never been there and I don't bloody live in London, but who cares I got in.

Too bad this year when I arrived at my hotel the M5 felt like a piece of junk. Little did I know I booked the same hotel the whole of Gumball 2005 were in. There was a Murcielago and a DB9 at the entrance of the car park, when I got in I parked beside a Countach.

Hehe Folks

I'm not thinking of buying it.......haven't got bored with the M3 yet :)

So I wasn't commenting on the price at all........just thought it was a fabulous looking car in great condition.

hehe Richie

I've just been reading a few other threads and it seems like a fair bit of testosterone has been flying about over the weekend.
