I have noticed in the last couple of weeks, that 3 things that I would not think were connected have started playing up.

These are the central locking motor on the boot, the sunroof motor, and my already posted off-side door mirror. Could one short be the problem here, or is it more than one?

I had a Ford Cortina some years back which had an electrical fault as follows: When the engine was running I could remove the keys from the ignition & the engine would still run & when I turned on the lights the engine would switch off. The problem was a bad earth strap. This might be way off the mark in respect of the problems you are encountering but I remember thinking at the time how a simple bad earth connection could give such bizzar results.
