Wiper help needed

My 528i is fitted with a rain sensor.

witch seems to be working ok but my intermittent does not seem to go into the  intermittent mode. it stays in rain sensor mode. has anyone had this problem? and whats the cure.my workshop manual states that there are two wiper relays i think it might be one these. perhaps one is for the rain sensor and the other is for the intermittent?
