Try and get someone who's trained to do it right, and see some samples of their work first.

It takes a little bit of time to get used to the darker glass, as it does affect depth perception.  Keep it legal, and you shouldn't have any problems.  Also, if you go too dark, your car will look gammy.

It does affect the light coming in , but if you keep it legal it shouldn't be too bad. The darker tints can make it awkward at night when pulling out from junctions tc, and I've know people who've had to roll the windows down to get a clear view...

Places I know of that do it are Pro-Parts in Fairview, Carcraft in Ballybough, a place near Walkinstown (Vision??) and a place in Blanch.

Lads

I've never really been one for window tints (used to think they were too drug dealer / ghetto) but this morning as I was coming to work I saw my exact car [E46 M3 Carbon Black / OEM 19"s]  except it had window tints and I thought it looked liked the dogs dangly bits.  Now the car was immaculate and was all polished up and so forth, but the tints really went well with the Carbon Black.  The car looked so menacing that I said "I have to have that!".

Anyway, can anyone recommend somewhere to have this done in Ireland?

Also, I know this might seem like a stupid question but do tints affect the interior light in the cabin?  Or are they like those interrogation mirrors I always see on TV that are one way?

Mick
