Yup,reminds me of the M3 they tested on TV in South Africa with CS gas sprays in the wingmirror housing or the ultimate one with the flame-throwing burners under the car that shoot flame out and up.

The latter - I likes it!! Wire straight to the HT side of the ignition,
that would give the little buggers a right royal shock!!!

Just reread an old article on the Porsche GT3.........interestingly on normal Porsches the badge is enamel but on the GT3 its a sticker to save on weight!!!
I reckon they'll look fine on black. If worried about someone nicking them you could always add some superglue to rear when attaching them!!!!!! Or wire the badges to the mains!!! |

I think that they look very good, not chav in the slightest!
My main concern is some herbert nicking them off one of my beemers! Three of my bm's are black so I reckon they would add a little bit of subtle aesthetic quality. I can see how some would not agree, but that's the great thing about opinions, everyone's got one! Even if its wrong!!! |

Philip, get me the link if poss so I can go back to them. I just did a search on ebay and the only BMW roundel in carbon fibre I could find was a blue carbon fibre EFFECT badge at £8.99 +p&p each.
Carbon fibre in black is available in real carbon fibre or carbon-style. As is black and silver. Edited by Stone-IslandM3 |

Shame the black and carbon ones are only carbon affect otherwise I would have had a set. Only black or blue carbon for me. In my opinion the black and silver is just too much. A set of REAL carbon and whites can be had for about £30 on ebay (and yes they are REAL carbon). Same company I believe so have a word! |

I don't suppose for 1 minute that any1 here thinks that a carbon fibre badge is gonna improve performance or provide a massive weight saving.
As for being so chav then thats up to you and what you think. You do seem to be an expert on it though so I'll leave you in peace with your copies of Max Power etc. If BMW/ACS/et al wanted to just save weight on the various splitters, spoilers, roofs etc then they'd fit it n spray over it.........I seem to remember every1 drooling over how good the CF roof LOOKED. If you don't want 1 fine, don't buy 1 just don't clog up the thread asking for people who may be interested. |

point is they use carbon to save weight not as a patern and weather the badges u buy are real or fake carbon it doesnt matter the 500g u might save is not going to have even the slightlest affect on ur cars performance so the end result is u just have a badge which is so chav like it may as well be burberry. have a thumb through a copy of max power or fast car and maybe u will be able to understand where i'm coming from
