OK OK I don't intend to watch it myself - but with a couple of kids they would love to have a screen when we go on a journey.

Is there any way of turning the safety switch off ?

There are a couple of ads from companies sorting this out in both Total BMW and the BMW CC magazine

If you can't get them let me know and I'll try and post them here

Isn't the TV function just disabled by a switch on the handbrake? If so, find that switch and make it stay closed

This website could help http://www.nav-tv.co.uk

You can either send your unit to them or take your car in to one of their dealers, dependent on where you live.

Thanks for the info guys - tried driving with the handbrake on but it still cuts out, I think its probably tied into the speedo somehow. Says in the book it will only work at 2mph !

The websites that were mentioned do a module that will work it though.

Thanks

Mike

Talking to a guy today that said all you need to do is take the speed pulse cable out of the back of the unit - sounded simple, but not sure I'd want to try it, not very technically minded!!
