They are just inserted and held by spring type clamps. I used a wide spade type tool to move it upwards step by step evenly.

I'm going to replace the drivers door window on my wife's e32 this weekend. Can anyone tell me how to remove the weatherstrips please.These need to be removed to make room for the window to come out. They are the chrome strips which run along the top of the door trim. All help much appreciated.
