I have recentley bought an E32 1987 735 I, where the O/s rear door is jammed locked. Can anybody help me open it & give me advice on stripping the door

PS it is still the most fun I have had sober & with my cloths on

I had a similar problem on the front passenger door, caused by the solenoid which operates the door mechanism seizing up.

Because the door is shut the only access to the solenoid ( on the front doors at least )  is to cut through the leather door panel/cover. The solenoid is held on by 2 bolts which can then be undone and then door mechanism will work fine lock/unlock etc manually.

Take off the leather panelling on the opposite door to get an idea of the location.
