2003 318Ci Decision

Hi, I wish you all the best. I am new here, but not new in the forum stuff. 
I am from Romania and i would like to ask you people before i go spend 20000E on a 2003 318Ci from Germany. Our nation does this... buying second hand cars from Germany and driving them home because it's "Cheaper" they say and because they were driven on good west europe roads.
Anyway, because i don't have my own money yet, i would like to know about the fuel consumtion. And other BAD STUFF. :) 
I was first on DaciaClub.ro that's the forum for dacia cars, out nation home made cars.
Second on Renault forum, with a 2005 new Clio 1.5dCi
Now i am on vwforum.ro, with a 2000 Passat 1.9TDI 116CP
And now.... with you guys. :) 
Would like to be color white with clear led style brake lights.
