It's with cars like this, where it is hard to put a price on. Like Sharon said earlier, it has 46 1st class show wins, and many more runners up places (although there are a lot more 1st class than any other position!!).
A car this good in any make will always be difficult to price as it is "as new". A BMW enthusiast will quite happily pay a premium for such a car. The guy who mentioned about £500 for the black car was a little off target though it has to be said! Maybe trying to snap up a bargain. It's certainly pulling in the interest on eBay! I'll be watching it like a hawk now!

Sharon - now that you have sold the object of your
life's work (polishing an old 323i!) you can invest in a
new keyboard with a caps lock - and a spell checker.
Mega is spelt with one 'g' My Dear, and sentences
generally begin with a capital letter. You should also
invest in an education (basic spelling would be a
start) and some manners.

As for E21 and 'mega bucks' * - well, "a
fool and his money..........."

Glad you found a home for the black one Craig. As
has been said, a nice one is a rare thing these days
and they do drive quite well for something so old.

Yes, it's a nice thing, and I had a boot spoiler like that
on both on mine. When my Father worked for BMW in
the early eighties he brought one home on a couple
of occasions in the few weeks before the E30 was
launched - Henna red with dark grey trim, those
Mahle wheels and green tint glass. Back then it was
a quick car as well - faster in fact than the early E30
323i which was 4 bhp down on paper and never felt
as lively on the road. The 325i would eat it for
breakfast though. You can't argue with 171 bhp!

BTW Spokey what happened with your 6 Series saga
in the end? Did you visit North Oxford Garage and
see the car again or was it all eventually resolved
with the insurance company?

I'm from the West Midlands, I'm not a Yam yam, and definately not a peasant! You my friend, are why 98% of the population think that BMW drivers are tw4ts!!

Who drives an Audi?
My wife does, I don't. If you would care to meet up in person and say that instead of sitting behind that comfort zone of your 17" monitor, then I would be more than happy. I'd even pay your train fare!

Does it really matter what car one drives? The fact is you are making personal assumptions based on what people drive and where people live. You don't know me from Adam, you have no idea who am I, what I drive, what I do for a living or anything else about me for that matter. I won't make any threats, but if you make snide and sarcastic comments about people for what they drive, and for me, your infantile remark about Audi drivers is directed to my wife, then just make sure you stay firmly seated behind your pc and stay locked up.

I am a car enthusiast, I run a succesful car transport company, for the past 6 years I have run a succesful car show, I do not make remarks to people just because the badge on the front of the car is not the same as mine. I leave that to the idiots that park up at Macdonalds on a Friday night. I would have though that coming on a club forum such as this, there would be some respect shown for the cars that other people drive whether they have a BMW badge, a Porsche badge, an Audi badge or whatever make of car you wish to drive.

Maybe if you would like to take your blinkers off, then take a look in the mirror, you'd realise just why so many people typecast BMW owners. Unfortunately, your attitude does nothing to enhance this forum and the BMW scene. Your fellow members must be so proud to have such a wise and enlightened individual as a member on here.

I've just noticed where you live. Steeple Aston, just down the road from Upper Heyford. Like I said, I run a transport company and we do a lot of work for both QEK and Walon in and out of Upper Heyford. remind me to pop in for a chat and a coffee (black, 1 sugar before you ask), when I'm next down there. I'm sure there can't be too many 540i's in Steeple Aston! Maybe I could come around and "check" your car out! Don't worry, not all people from the West Midlands are Yam Yams and are out to "rob yer mota".
Just make sure your car's locked up hey!!!!

contempt they warrant.

2.) I couldn't care less. Not even remotely interested!

3.) Oh dear.............

Come and look for an E39 P plate 540i in Steeple
Aston. I'm sure you're a big tough chap and yes, I'm
really scared. It's a small village..........
Sorry, but when your (somewhat foul mouthed)
spouse chooses to take issue with me I will naturally
object.
What were you saying about 'not knowing you from
Adam?? Not nice having someone you don't know
'having a pop'..........is it? Pot, kettle, black!!

I trust this brings the matter to a conclusion. By the
way, unless there really is a place called Cox, I think
you'll find 'location' means where you live as
opposed to your Surname...........

Wow.... people really do get all worked up over the slightest things!

I'm not quite sure what you have said, Drew, to annoy them so. But with threats like those, I'd invest in a personal minder. And a different car.

Drew, for your information, my wife is called Alexandra. She is not foul mouthed and has never been on this forum, she has never owned or driver a BMW, and yes, she is the Audi driver. If you had bothered to digest a bit of the thread before, you may have worked that one out.
Why would Sharon sell her car to her husband?

So, now you've got your facts straight, direct your petty insults elsewhere. I'm sure any insult directed at your spouse wouldn't be taken lightly.

Maybe another person who obviously hasn't read the thread in full.
I think you'll find that when a BMW Car Club member starts posting snide comments like this up first, some people do find it rather insulting.

oh, and the stereotypical typecasting:

So Drew, I'll be down on Thursday for that coffee eh bud!
You see Mr Clever Clogs, you shouldn't really place too much information on a public forum such as Location/Full Name and the Car you drive then hurl a load of insults at people and their spouses.
Luckily, I haven't taken the comments you made towards my wife too personally as I know you didn't obviously digest anything that you may have read on here prior to posting. Let's just say, if you had of done, I would have rearranged my meeting at QEK for this morning.

Coxy, all I see is someone posting threats and thinly veiled threats. Drew may have posted something you find offensive, but raising to it by offering to pay him a visit and rearrange his features (or words to that effect), then it must raise the question who is in fact the petty and childish one.

Please grow up. This is meant to be a family orientated forum, and as such blatant threats of violence are not welcome. Your macho man antics are not required.

So let me get this straight, it is OK for someone on here to typecast other members because of:
1 - Incorrect Grammer
2 - The fact that they want/own an E21 323i which is so obviously only worth £500 because it's not as good as other models which Drew has owned.
3 - Because they live in the Midlands

If it's a family orientated forum, then maybe you should look at the way Drew posted in the first place.
Yes, his post was antagonistic and insulting. I know Sharon, she is a good friend. So what if she's from the West Midlands and her grammar and spelling aren't 100% correct. That doesn't give Drew the right to throw insults about.
I have not offered to rearrange his features at all. I have never raised a fist in my life, and I never will. My offer to Drew was one of a chat and a cup of coffee. If you feel fit to misinterpret that comment then so be it.
It's funny how you call this a family forum yet you let people like Drew throw insults at new forum members. Surely if you would like to welcome people to this place, then you wouldn't go around throwing around insults.

Are you car enthusiasts or just people with blinkered vision that see yourselves as better than other because you drive a BMW?

Another insult was also thrown in the direction of Audi drivers. My wife drives an Audi-Porsche RS2, so should I take that as a personal insult to my wife? I have made no attempt to hide the fact that we have an Audi in the pictures, and why should I? It's a thoroughbred car which has some of the best performance and handling you could ever wish to have from any car. But I'm not so blinkered in my vision that I can't appreciate such cars as an M3 and an M5 in comparison to the Audi's.

So far, my experience of this forum is far from family orientated and it's a case of "if your face fits".
