very nice indeed, incidentally its a B3 S, they changed from the B3 3.3 to the S in 2002, there's no such model as the B3 3.4

see what you mean about the price....

No not at Morrison Motors prices, I think sometimes they imagine their forecourt is in the middle of Surrey?

Also - I thought the B3 coupe E46 was last produced as a 3.4, something to do with a rework of the 3.3 unit which drinks the oil.

Very nice indeed!!

Although it could be a little lower at the front and hoping not to upset anyone but red is not my favourite colour. Oh and I don't have a spare 30 grand for a buggy for the missus to drive to work.

One day.....

Alan.

Would that be the same engine as in the [Z4] Roadster S, because that is a 3.4?

yes, same engine as in the alpina roadster s, same m52tu alpina engine as mine, just bored out to 3.4 (well, 3346cc) from 3.3 (3300cc itself originally bored out from bmw 2796cc!)

from "bmw alpina" by james taylor, 2005....

"the 3.4 litre engine - known to alpina as an e5 type - was a slightly higher revving engine than its 3.3 litre predecessor, but delivered a much higher maximum of 300PS and more torque as well"

"key to the z4 upgrade, which alpina called the Roadster S was the 300PS 3.4 litre 6-cylinder engine that had already been seen int he E46-based B3 S model"

Morrison Motors in Turrif? I bought my Golf from them, over priced because it was "a very rare colour & spec" etc, when i tried them 3 years later for a decent trade in price, bearing in mind the price I had paid for it & the "very rare colour & spec" they didn't want to know, my advice is give them a wide berth mate.

Nice looking car. Alpina's not my cup of tea though.

You good pick up a smiliar aged M3 with decent spec for same £ if not less than that.

If you're looking for a manual car (?), look in the north of england or around London. They have real difficulty selling manual BMW's and as a result I got, IMO, great deals on the 330 and M3. Easy to get to with cheap flights or a medium length drive.
