Give the UUC site a read. It goes into great depth.

Basically, although the Z3 shifter works to reduce the throw, it 'suffers' from the same 'problems' as the standard unit. The UUC unit was engineered to be the best possible solution.

I thought (scuse me if i is being fik!) that i could use the Z3 one on the M3 as well?  Is this the case and if so what exactly is the difference between it and the UUC one - isn't it £300ish as opposed to £28?!  Obviously i want to get the best option for me but am really interested to know the difference in feel when ur'e driving between the two (it's the first short shift i have tried so don't really have anything to compare.)

does a z3 shifter fit straight into the e36 coupe, 318is in my case?

Webdunk, have just had a good look at the UUC site, i agree it does look great, still need to convince myself it's worth the money  as it seems expensive and i don't have much
