Well I suppose Iam biased (come to think of it we all are ) The 325i Sport as far as I am concered I would not change it. I did think about it a while back but no I love it. If i could afford it I would have an M3 for the track. Let me know what you think! Ron PS Mind you one of those South African Evo Sports would be nice or even a Alpina or a Hartge Oh!!! |

That Touring of you is just the best have seen look forward to seeing it in the flesh. thepits! Yes we all know the M3 is the best? if you think about it its a bitsa BMW E30 body 2 cylinders chopped of a 6 series engine I think! and 5 series hubs ???? which came first the orinary E30 or the M3. Mark Thay do say that the 318is is the next best thing to an M3, I still thing the 325 is the best. Ron |

Coming to the boil now! I have a mint `88 325SE EH auto with A/C and cruise which I keep in the UK. I can`t say it was the best thing for Silverstone last September, but it behaved itself far better than I expected and a fantastic day was had by all. Here in sunny Mallorca, I have a nice EVO1 with lots done to the suspension and brakes, engine standard. Up the twisty mountain roads it knocks hell out of the 325, but I run the very real risk of disappearing over the edge of a cliff. I have decided to bring it back to the UK, even though the steering wheel will then be on the wrong side of the car, because the only place it makes any sense is on a track. In these days of Gatso`s, Truvelo`s, roadworks, police, traffic jams etc, I have to say that if I wasn`t off to a track day, I would take the 325 any day of the week. It is so much nicer as a road car!! M3 for the `Ring. 325 for the road. Let the bunfight commence. |

I have read a couple of articles in magazine and they come to the conclusion that a 325i for the road and an M3 for the track. Simon. You say the M3 is best but where is yours??? |

Having had an E30 325iSE before the M3, I have to admit that as far as fast smooth road driving is concerned it was a pearl! Lovely 6cylinder hard to beat. But, the M3 is so much more fun to drive even on the road. I miss my 325, but I miss my M3 more
I broke the engine! - Mind you I broke the 325 engine as well when I had that. Do'ya think it's me??!! |

I am tempted by a 325i sport, but then I was going to go for a 320is instead. Changing circumstances has prvented me though.

320is are a nice compromise between an M3 and a 325sport, love mine to bits!

No way Alpina 2.7's! it's got everything in spades! Can't argue though the M3 is a legend for a reason 325's setup well are a lovely car on track, not quite as focused but fun all the same |
