Finished work tonight went out to my car, pressed button on fob to switch alarm off, nothin happened, unlocked doors with key, lights radio everything on, battery not flat, alarm going off, is this just the key fob?? battery in fob flat??? any ideas how much BMW charge for new key fob or to get ma car going??? temp key fob not working either!!!  asked for a pin and I don't have one!!

Any advice appreciated....

Could it be a local radio ham mast which is messing with your alarm signal? I have this problem at a certain local car park. With the AA van parked in front of mine I found the radio ham signal was distorted enough to allow my fob to work. Try getting the fob as close to back seat as possible (this being where your alarm module is). Might not work but worth a go.

thanks bmw recovered car to BMW Glasgow,,, Fantastic service, very helpful and friendly.  Turns out the immobiliser is fried!!! Gettin whole system replaced, just bad luck, service boy says. I found BMW in Glasgow to be on the ball, recovered car for free, diagnosed prob straight away, getting car back tomorrow morning.
