Hi,

My M3 Convertible has not been used much for the last few months, enjoying the sun today. However every time I put the roof up the front windows go half way then go down as if something is stopping them. I have also noticed, when I open the doors the windows are not going down far enough and are catching slightly on the top rubber.

What can I do?

I have tried GT85, its a teflon spray for bike chains, I thought it might adhere to the rubber, but its not helping (it did remove loads of dirt though!)

Is there a spcific lubricant for the rubber seals on windows?

I had the same problem with my E36 coupe, I posted the same question on this site and was advised to take the door cards off clean all the runners and window mechanisim with wd40 and re-greese them with copper-slip, while I did all of that I also lubricated the rubbers which your talking about with WD40,

It all worked a treat for me.

There's a BMW lubricant for sale from Dealers for this purpose. Also helps windows drop on door open even when it's mega chilly.

I've read somewhere that talcum powder is good for easing sticking windows!

Not tried it myself.
My 635's.
