I might go for this or else I can organise a a Taymouth Castle meet again for the afternoon with the 7 series register.

Not sure which car I'd take.  If I buy the B12 that would be the obvious choice but it would probably break the rolling road machinery

Brian tried your M5 at the Dastek Rolling Road session but the ECU shuts the engine down at around 5000RPM because it detects that the front wheels are stationary - better check this further before spending your money......even at 5000RPM it was still putting out in excess of 300 BHP

Haven't you bought it yet?

Was there not some peculiarity with running automatics on the rollers?  Malcolm can advise

Pete,

Any idea if Falkland are capable of running E46 M3's on their Dyno?

I'm keen to get a true reading but there's pretty long and tedious process that has to be followed.

Cheers.

There are problems especially as I believe they have a 2WD rolling road...

my car never even got to 5000rpm at AVA cos the ecu saw that the front wheels weren't moving and kicked in the TCS, even though they switched it off completely !!

A good source tells me that there is a sequence of steps to be carried out for the TCS to becompletely switched off. Normal switching only partially disables TCS

It's only until that my car went down south and went on a 4WD road that did things go smoothly..

Am a bit suspect to going myself..I'm sure pete will find out nevertheless

I was there today having a nosey, and they are sure they are well capable of some serious machinery. Even some of the most complicated of cars, including those with Dodgy SMG/Automatic gearboxes. Should be a good day!
