while looking for a Di-Cast 1/43 model of my car i came across this on ebay

and thought, well it's cheap and silver so i bought one, then after a bit of mod'n to it it now look's like this

ive changed the wheel's, lowered it slightly, coloured the seat's black, filled the hole's from the police light's rubbed it all down and painted it the same Titan Silver.... my very own "Mini Me" of my car.

Very nice mate, tricky to get a model to look right. I've done a few now, did a 1:24 model of my Astra which looked very nice, and also a 1:18 model of my mate's mini in very distinctive antique gold (pea green vomit). Nice challenge, and keeps you out of trouble for a while. Good work.

I've got about 250 1:18 scale models taking up masses of space at my parents house, never been too keen on the small stuff.

Anyone know if any company produced a model of the e28 in any scale? The e34 minichamps one looks fantastic, and I notice that minichaps are planning a 1:43 e12 520 later in the year. Also been looking and drooling over the autoart 1:18 635 CSi models. Mmmmmmm nice. Pricey too. The e30 M3 models look superb too, especially the black one. Tasty.

i agree, i bought a minichamps 3-door sierra cosworth on friday and i was very impressed by the detail - a couple of very minor ommissions/discrepancies, but for £20 it was excellent value, especially as the equivalent autoarts one is twice the price

Yes the £20 Minichamps 1/18 scale models are part of their value range, excellent though they are the AutoArt ones are on another level.

Dave, 1. check your local BM dealer parts dept - there will have been an origianl BM marketed model/s. 2. check the 'shop' link at the top of this page.
