However, it'd be nice for us to have someone else i.e TBMW to do a spread on us...thats all. From a commercial aspect it would do no harm whatsoever for a glossy to attend a meet such as this one, no?

TIko

Offcorse mate total agree,i thought you meant that the article was for the club mag only, thats why i said its bmw Mag (Confused?i am confusing myself)

PBMW And all them attend loads of forum meets down south, but i guess its just to far to come and see us.

Never mind they will all see us again in Aug 20th

Some of the best motors in the UK are up here but we don't need recognition from any mag to enjoy them...  it's their loss.

And stuff Hadrian, I want to see the Antonine Wall back up

Talking of the club magazine, I've been thinking more about Neros suggestion of doing an article on my car

What are the requirements - how many words, how many photos etc?

Use Pete's article in the last mag as a guide. That struck me as the right length with good pix.

Around 500 words and 2 nice pics will get you a full page

Write the story out in word document and email it to

bmwmag@quorumtech.co.uk

Remember to add pics to email with file names that match your story

Look forward to reading it in near future

I contact F&M last year about a feature on my car and they seemed quite interested I have the fellows e-mail address Fraser something or other his name was.

Be good if they would be interseted in the club as we have a wide variety of cars both modded and rare

Glad to see this has all calmed down a bit!

As a features editor - if a car is nice and I want it in the mag, I have no probs putting it in. As has been said, this is a business and if a car doesn't get featured, it's nothing personal, it's simply logistics.

I understand the thing about catching a plane but how the heck can a photographer carry all his gear on a plane without a load of hassle?

FYI, I have commissioned a writer and photographer to come up at the end of next month. Not anyone's fault that it didn't happen to coincide with your rolling road day, but why not organise a big gathering or another event for when we are actually there?

I actually get very few scots contacting me with potential feature cars or events.

See we are really cuddely up here. Sometimes

On a more serious note though..

Nick we do have some nice bits of machinery up here.

Dunc has his M3GT, I have a Sport Evo and a mate of mine has an E30 325i sport with about £3000 worth of engine and suspension work.

There is a guy up north with an E30 touring with M3 running gear and engine and another E30 M3 Cab with a S54 engine, not to mention the other guys who have slight to moderate mods on their vehicles. Thats just off the top of my head.

I'm sure there will be something to get your teeth into up here.

I hope that doesnt mean I have to hug you lot

If there are any potential feature cars, I'd be greatful if I could get pics and specs (doesnt matter if they are standard, they might be total minters or just unusual). Otherwise, it'll be a case of the freelancers trying to chase stuff when they are there, which could have sloppy consequences

Best bet is to email me at nick.odantzis@futurenet.co.uk
