Very nice. Shame it's not the 2.5, has no leather or cross spokes. though. Scenarios like this always make me think, If the original purchaser was that fanatical about his cars (keeping it under a dust sheet, the servicing record etc.) why didn't he spec it up. Is a lovely example and on eBay? I reckon £4500 maybe £5 max. If WLN had this car they'd be looking for £6k no doubts. |

The seller has ended the auction saying the vehicle is no longer for sale yet the advert states ( This car is solely available on eBay. ) didn't give the auction much of a chance did he. Was considering a dabble myself until I saw the 325i Motorsport one on another post here . Now this is a nice one but out of my price bracket at present. Better keep saving.

You're thinking as a performance enthusiast. To some people performance just isn't an issue & this was an older guy. Not everyone likes leather either especially if it's an expensive option. However, these people do tend to look after their cars better. How many 325's have been ragged silly, punched though hedges etc. When you go to look at them the leather is scuffed, worn & has obviously never been cleaned or fed since it came off the cow. Whilst I would prefer a leathered up 325 myself, I have to admit the condition of cars like this are more tempting. I agree with your price estimates - pretty much what I thought too. As for the Motorsport - lovely example. I think this one will get near the £10k mark if not more. I'd love a Motorsport to partner my 635 Motorsport Edition but I find the prices they command a bit hard to swallow. Apart from the bubble leather (only on some versions) you don't really get anything over the standard car. There's no price difference with 635 M'Sports, probably because everything except the colour was available from the options list anyway. |
