I know, especially as it takes about 5 mins to clean the M-Parallels and about 10-15 if I clean the inside of the rims

I really like your wheels. There are actually two type 42 wheels.

The ones you have are listed as the 'styling II type 42 composite wheels' and the ones I have are just type 42's and have no studs.

The guys are correct they are a pain to keep clean but worth it I think.

Once I'd slapped these on my 5 I wished I had gone for alpina reps but cleaning was a doddle;


However I do miss the Alpinas........

Yep, got to agree John the Alpinas really are the dogs. By the way does everybody else's disc's go rusty looking after the wheels have been washed or are my discs duff ones or something.  Steve.

I like the 42s ....funnily enough

but yes, with an unlacquered & polished lip, they're a mare to keep clean.

I used to have 8 &9 x 17 on my e32 love the style 42 but OH! the cleaning
Tyre wise I ran 255 rears with no fouling so try that as a 255/35 x 18

we need to get an oem wheel preview flash app.. All those on the net don't cover oem BMW wheels...
