Seen this on autotrader (I can dream I guess, not very practical for me but worth a look for anyone else interested)

link

Don't know how many of these are knocking around, seen loads of standard Z3's knocking around but not many M-Sport ones.

For a 1998 car it would have had the S50 321bhp engine, sounds like the replacement engine is a S54 325bhp as found on later cars?

It won't have traction control found on the later cars.

There were only 79 UK S54 engined Z3M's.

Saw another rare care the other day while out doing a job, it was a rhd Alpina B12 5.0 auto, the owner said it was the fastest auto he's driven - I was told how many there were, but I've forgotten (not that many apparently).

It's not far from me either - but not for me, can't see me and our lass going to wolvo with a bootfull of luggage and our guinea pigs (you'd be suprissed at how much a compact holds). Besides, I'd rather have an X5 or similar if I had the money.

Followed one of these for a few miles up in Scotland a couple of years ago. On the road and in the flesh it looked quite a handsome machine and sounded lovely but as you say not practical enough so would have to be a weekend car.
