E39 Headlamp washer problem

   Hi, the headlamp washers on my dads E39 seems to have stopped working all of a sudden. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks.

	Have you checked the fuse? When you wash can you hear the motor for the headlight washer?

	No I can't hear the motor for the headlight washer. If it was the fuse would it stop other things working too?

	I think there may be a fuse just for the headlamp washers. I read recently a lot of people take it out because they dont want the water splashing up on their bonnet so it mustn't affect anything else. I think its fuse 2 in the glovebox.

	My Dad has just read the handbook and has found out that the headlight washer only works with the lights on! Sorry mate.
