hi. Just crept into 45+ age group yesterday. have owned e30 m3's since 1989. started with std. 2.3, then 215bhp cabrio, then red sportEvo. currently own m3 trackday prep. car, 127k miles, agreed value £9k, and mint black schnitzered sportEvo,32k miles, agreed value in excess of £??.K . insurance limited to 3000k miles for each (plus e30 325i sport, 63kmiles AValue £6.5k) and works out at circa £400 with ClassicLine. importantly incl.'s cover for trackdays ( something you should check before going on circuit)
not at all bad considering csl alone costs £800 for 5000miles.
the beauty of OUR cars is that whether used daily, sundays and high days, trackdays, bmwcc events, shows, concours or kept under wrapps they will always be SPECIAL and appreciated by fellow car buffs and lay-folk alike, so keep on enjoying in whichever way floats your boat.

Just turned 40 last year, living in Suffolk.
Bought an Evo2 in 1995 and had it 2 years. After an Impreza Type R, a new Lexus IS200 and new Golf 150 GTi diesel, I wanted another.
Bought second Evo2 three years ago and use it most days to visit clients
Insurance £328 comprehensive with business use through Liverpool Victoria, kept on the drive

27 as of the other day, had it for 10 months now and paid £390 FC agreed value 5000 miles with Peter Best. Only people I could find that would give me the time of day, being under 30, but there seem to be plenty of other suggestions above!
jpboost, who did you get that policy with?

Hi all
61 now, just got my buss pass not that I'll use it.
Got mine in Sept. 98 after my E21 323 broke against a straw bale. It's a 1989 German inport which started life with cats, gone now, and I have had it chipped. Love it to death and for insurance I am with AON limited to 5000 pa but with a rollover facility. The last 4 years the premium has been constant @ £ 274 and have agree value of £ 9,000.
Do own maintenance where possible and the car has done 180,000kms.
Compete in hill climbs and sprints.
