Sometimes I think that there are too many forums available, which can give rise to the 'uh which forum do I post my message' question, and the activity in each of the forums is diluted due to the number of forums available.
Don't get me wrong, I think the way the forums have been set up and managed is excellent, but maybe less is more?

I remember this cropping up before, and good old Killian spent a lot of time cutting it down, only for us lot to ask him to expand it again.
When it was cut down it seemed so cluttered.

I particularly like the series forums, originally it was done on E numbers, and that did lead to a lot more forums than we have now.

Its only my opinion, but I think its great as it is.
Best Wishes

The opposite was argued before and this was the happy medium that came from it - it was originally e28, e30,... and reduced down to 3, 5, ... by request but some wanted the e number system to stay.

Should there be only one technical board? If this becomes reality then remember that with the amount of new threads each day, your message could go to page 2 fairly quickly and possibly go unnoticed by most people.

I would prefer to keep the regions searate. Again, what do others think. It is your forum too.

If I was really pushed, I'd like it to go back to the E numbers, but this does seem a happy medium

You can post your mesage in more than one forum.. just copy and paste.
If you visit the site often.. just view active topics and only see the posts that have been done since your last visit.

I think it is excellent as it is.

I visit other forums and find the very problem which Killian is highlighting i.e post drop onto page 2 too quickly and consequently can go unnoticed.

My only suggestion would be for more active topics be displayed at the bottom of the page, say up to 10 ??

The regions should be kept separate and imho going back to E numbers would be counter productive. This is a reversal of my previous support of an E30 section, I can now see the pitfalls which would occur.

Iain - which page should the active topics be displayed with 10 items? The forum home page has had this for a week or two now.
