Hi all, very nice to meet you all. I wonder if you may be able to help me please. i have a 1993 k-reg 320i which i have recently fitted some after market m3 mirrors 2, the problem is i cant wire them up to move the mirrors, i have a different amount of wires on the mirrors to the old ones, can anyone please shed some light, thankyou in advance

Hi When i fitted after market m3 type mirrors to my 95 318 i used the original wiring  and motors in the new mirrors .

Yeah cut Plug off cheap Mirrors and bear a little bit of wire and stick one in the connector of BMW loom.

Press the mirror adjuster to see what way the mirrors go

 

If you press right and it goes right then bingo that wire goes there

If not keep trying

The ones you don't need tape up.

You can buy original connectors from BMW If you want to connect them up properly or just snip of connectors and join with bullets

 

Or alternatively ditch the cheap reps and buy a set of exact copies from Teddy at ssdd-motorsport.com and they will plug and play and look 99% like genuine ones

Problem is there are only 3 wires on the mirror, how can that go 4 directions?

Stick them on ebay and buy decent ones

The motor only needs 3 wires to work.   Are the extra wires for the heated glass?

Only needs 3 wires to work? + - and what? how do i wire it up when the car has wires for each direction then?
