I've seen another in the metal, few years back at a show at the ring, done by an aftermaket company, proper conversion to. Did suffer from scuttle shake though.

Ben Brove did some conversions in the late 70's and early 80's. Horrible to drive, since the roof provides an important part of the body strength. Bit like they did with the Golf GTI, Ford Escort and Vauxhall Astra. Needs so much extra weight to get the strength that they drive like a bus.
