I'll Look forward to it. Not sure of my work schedule yet as I've been sat at home for 8 weeks (on full pay) waiting to start work in Syria. Once I'm back from the first stint I'll know my dates and we can firm something up.

Cheers
Phil

I know the space you are talking about. Would need to fix things to the internal struts to stop them clanking around.

The interior sounds great.. I'd like to see it.. next time you are over here supporting Ken Dodd at the Tower give us a shout and we can try and rustle up some Northern 8's for a blast down the motorway. Not quite 8-Fest roadfly style. We'll have to paste Ian's onto the pics!!!

A great place for storing gadgets is behind the trim on the driver side (passenger side for you!) next to the battery and jack. There's quite a lot of room in there. I have a small electric air pump, pressure gauge, spare bulbs, etc. Stops them rattling around in the boot.

Mine's two tone black/grey leather. A bit scuffed on the edge trim of the driver's seat I agree, but it's not too bad.

I also have my entire dashboard covered in leather (dread to think how much that option was back in 1993!) which looks surprisingly good after 10 years.

I've got the complete toolkit/triangle etc.. I knackered the latch on mine trying to sneak in some extra little useful gadgets. The plastic thread on the locking nut strips off really easily (probably just me being heavy handed; can't shake off my offshore roots)

Think the first aid kit is original. Got those annoying scuff marks on the leather on the drivers seat from sliding in and out. Silver grey leather.. You don't notice unless you are looking for it. Looks really crap on black leather interiors I've seen.

Yeah it's a bit crappy. Did you get the full toolkit when you bought it? I hear that lot's are missing the warning triangle, but mine was there fortunately.

Best of all was the first aid kit...the original one from 1993 was still there, sealed in cellophane. Mind you, all the contents had long since passed their sell-by date.

Mine covers the opening for the ski bag to the very right hand interior trim. Whoever did it did a professional job as the trim is done properly. Also, they put in a trim door to the left where the amp is mounted. Noticed that they used the same latch mechanism as the toolbox kit for the trim door hiding the amp
(just replaced my toolbox door nut and bolt as the thread strips off really easily - cheap platic s**t - should have been a metal thread).

I thought of mounting something in the boot and having it firing through the opening for the ski bag. That way you could put the armrest back and no-one would be any the wiser.

My other cars (lesser manufacturers) all have(had) cruise and heated seats. I enquired about retrofitting cruise but my local independent but OEM kits are just not available anymore. I think cruise became standard in 1996. Not sure about heated seats.

Guess mine would be the 'clubsport' version except for the 1/2 MT subwoofer and the amp that would drive all NORAD computers.

Mine doesn't have seated seats. God knows why you'd need them here. Even SAABs ship here without them. Have cruise and photochromatic rear view mirror though.

I thought all 8's had heated seats? I knew cruise was an option.

So the stripped down CSL version for track days eh? Cool!

I must have the 'club' version. No heated seats or cruise.

Rewire the heated seats to ensure that any passenger you choose gets a little more than they bargained for!

Excellent... Automatic mode instigates with nagging related references to cleanliness, shaving, DIY, flat pack furniture, watching soccer, playing Battlefeild 1942 internet multiplayer game for extended periods of time, porn on the computer or 'that bloody computer', clothing colour co-ordination and 'I know what I am doing with money'.....

Go into the OBC diagnstic mode and switch NDM (Nag detection mode) to automatic.

This should help.

Yep, mine works too. Pity they didn't install an ejector seat for when the wifey is nipping your ears!
